New Here?

Here is some information that you may want to know if you are new at Bethel Baptist of Hillsville.

What to Expect

Your First Visit

We understand that visiting a new church can be intimidating for many, and we want you to be able to relax and enjoy the service. As you arrive, you will be greeted in the lobby. You will find our small church family to be welcoming and willing to assist you however they can.

Expect to Be Loved

We believe that people need to be shown the love of Christ, and we strive to show that love to each person that walks through the doors. We do not judge based on appearance or clothing. Some members choose to dress up for church, but some choose to wear more casual clothing.

If you are new to Bethel Baptist, we are all equal at the foot of the cross. We are not a perfect church, and we are not perfect people. We are just a small group of believers who love Jesus and each other and want to share that love with our community.

Children Activities

We have a strong passion for the next generation. All children are welcome to stay with their parents in the auditorium; however, there is a staffed nursery provided for up to age 3.

“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another...”

Getting Involved

get to know each other

We want our members to develop friendships among each other. Purpose to meet each other or someone new and spend time growing in Christ together. Invite them over for a meal or out to grab a coffee.

Get to know your community

When you are in a grocery store, seek to make conversation. Even if you are not able to invite them to church or share the Gospel, make a connection. Show our community that we are here and that we care.

Get to know your Savior

Spend time with Jesus each day. Find a companion to keep you accountable. Read your Bibles and pray. Purpose to have a better relationship with God each day.

We would love to get to know you

Every person who attends Bethel Baptist is invited over to the pastor’s house for lunch! Schedule a time for lunch or just a time to meet if you have any questions about church, a sermon preached, or the Bible.
